Nasarawa Community Mourns After Couple Found Dead in Their Home

News

Residents of Angwan Kari, a quiet part of Keffi in Nasarawa State, are still in shock after a couple was discovered dead in their house under heartbreaking circumstances.

The couple, Williams Wasiu Jimoh and his wife, Banke, hadn’t been seen in a few days. Family and friends started to worry when they couldn’t get in touch. Eventually, someone close to them went to check on the couple.

A Worrying Scene

When a colleague arrived at their home on Sunday, 6th April, everything looked locked up from the outside. But something wasn’t right. A bad smell was coming from the house, and there were flies near the back window.

The police were called. When officers forced their way in, they found Mrs. Jimoh lifeless, and her husband seriously injured. He was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre in Keffi, but sadly, he didn’t make it.

They Were Deeply Loved

The couple had been active members of their local church. Pastor Lee Ngbede, a leader in the Fellowship of Christian Students (FCS), shared how much they meant to everyone.

“Brother and Sister Jimoh were committed members of the FCS here in Keffi. The situation surrounding their gruesome death remains a shock to the entire Christian body in Keffi and the state,” he said.

Mrs. Jimoh was buried on 10th April, and Mr. Jimoh was laid to rest on 16th April.

Still No Clear Answers

At the moment, the investigation is still ongoing. Some residents believe there might be a link to an earlier dispute, but police haven’t confirmed anything just yet.

For now, all anyone wants is justice — and peace for the families left behind.
